Step Forward Project
The aim of Step Forward project is to develop and enhance Templars' Scout Campsite to ensure more young people can enjoy everyday adventure.
Templars' Scout Campsite has been a big part of Aberdeen Scouting for more than 75 years. It provides a safe and green space for Scouts, Guides, schools and other youth community groups to enjoy activities such as camping, archery and crate climbing and, develop essentials lifeskills such as teamwork and social interaction.
To ensure the campsite remains at the heart of Scouting in Aberdeen, and an attractive destination for visiting groups, we need to ensure Templars' has appropriate facilites.
The Step Forward Project is a phased programme of improvements including: building a new toilet and shower block, restoration and upgrade of the campfire circle, improving energy efficiency and installation of new activities.
